Digitale transformatie: OneLife innoveert ook op het vlak van RPA (Robotic Process Automation)

Automatisering van standaardprocessen

Voor de eindejaarsoverzichten van 2017 implementeert het bedrijf Dematerialisering, een proces waarmee de verzekeringnemer en zijn tussenpersoon overzichten direct op de beveiligde portaalsite van de onderneming, youroffice your assets, kunnen bekijken, zodat ze die niet langer via de post op papier toegestuurd moeten krijgen. De pdf kan worden gedownload en opgeslagen voor het geval de klant die nodig heeft. Het gedematerialiseerde overzicht heeft dezelfde juridische waarde als het papieren document. Efficiëntie, veiligheid en snelheid zijn de kernwoorden van dit nieuwe, papierloze proces.

De versnelling van het acceptatieproces voor klanten door de automatisering van KYC- en AML-controles heeft de testfase bij OneLife doorstaan en wordt weldra gelanceerd. RegTech, wat staat voor Regulation Technology, geeft het complianceteam een krachtige technologische tool om de controles uit te voeren en op basis daarvan een aanbeveling te formuleren. De app biedt realtime toegang tot online portefeuilles in een beveiligde omgeving, evenals de mogelijkheid om transacties en uitstaande items op te volgen. Hij biedt de partners en klanten van OneLife dus heel wat gemoedsrust, aangezien ze hun portefeuilles gewoon meenemen en op ieder moment kunnen raadplegen!

Als laatste onderdeel in het digitaliseringsproces van zijn acceptatie en serviceaanbod zal OneLife in het eerste kwartaal van 2018 de mogelijkheid van elektronische ondertekening introduceren. Evolve 2017 Oslo showcased how beneficial the digital transformation can be for Norwegian software vendors

Palo Alto, CA, April 21, 2015 — /EPR SOFTWARE NEWS/ — Sesame – the world’s first instant smart lock – is now one of the hottest projects on Kickstarter, which has raised more than one million dollars since launch. Currently, more than 6,000 supporters have backed the project.

Sesame allows users to lock and unlock their doors using the Sesame app on their smartphones. It is the only smart lock that syncs the movement of the lock with the phone, providing exact control of the angle to which the lock turns.

Jerming Gu, the inventor of Sesame, said he wanted to bring the joy of technology to regular people with affordable prices. Sesame is also designed to accommodate the fast changing nature of technology.

In deed, the consumer electronics technology changes year by year. Any users of consumer electronic products – whether it’s a lock or a phone – they will be forced to upgrade the hardware often.

Here are some examples:
1) iPhone 4 (Bluetooth 3.0) is not compatible with iPhone 4S (Bluetooth 4.0);
2) RFID (clipper bus card) is not compatible with NFC (Apple Pay/some credit card);
3) z-wave (most old digital locks) is not compatible with Zigbee (newer digital locks);

“You might want to have a new phone every year but you may not want to construct the door every year just for a newer digital lock,” said Gu.

That’s the problem Sesame is trying to solve.

Now Bluetooth 4.2 is coming, Gu just swapped to the new version 3 Bluetooth chip in mass production.

“Also, the long-distance wireless charging technology is about to hit the market, I feel everything is changing too fast,” said Gu.

With five-patented design, Sesame works with just about any deadbolt in the world. Users can install it in seconds, without replacing existing lock or removing anything. Current model is optimized for US/Canada/northern Europe Markets.

CANDY HOUSE also offers optional access point, which connects Sesame to the Internet when plugged into any nearby outlet. It lets users control Sesame wherever they are.

With Internet connection capability, users can allow guests in remotely. They can also control who has access and when. To ensure safety, the Sesame app also sends out a notification whenever the door opens or closes.

Sesame – smart lock that changes the world

FullSpeed Provides Spreadsheet-like Macros in Cloud-based Accounting Apps: QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Others

Madison, Missouri, September 26, 2014 , Most people who have used word processing software know what a macro is: a group of commands you can put together quickly to do a repetitive job, like adding blank spaces at the beginnings of several lines, or changing underlined words to italics on an entire page. Wouldn’t it be great if someday macros could apply calculations to multiple lines of data in applications like QuickBooks Online, Xero, or other cloud-based accounting software?

That day is here! FullSpeed lets you set up simple formulas in its own internal spreadsheet and applies them to data in other programs at the press of hotkey. In fact you can have multiple macros defined, each with its own unique hotkey.

What kinds of things can FullSpeed do? …calculations involving multiple columns of an invoice, column subtotals and totals, calculate discounts or freight surcharges or special taxes, autonumber lines, provide customized messages like “A discount of $123.45 is available if paid by October 15, 2014”, and a lot more. FullSpeed supports a wide range of Excel-compatible spreadsheet features such as numeric and statistical functions, IF logic, date/time functions, text manipulation, and plenty of ways to format results: currency, numeric, date/time, etc.; even the ability to display decimal amounts as fractions.

FullSpeed works in invoices, estimates, purchase orders, sales orders, bills, checks, sales receipts, grids, etc.–almost anywhere you can enter accounting data. It is compatible with any Windows-based Web browser which supports Microsoft’s UI Automation technology, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Internet Explorer. FullSpeed is not limited to browser-based apps though: it also works in some native Windows applications like QuickBooks desktop editions. (Though FullSpeed can work with a variety of application types, it has mostly been certified to work with accounting applications in this first release of the product.)

Many cloud-based accounting applications have limited space available for data or calculated results. For example, neither QuickBooks Online nor Xero currently supports custom fields in the line items area of invoices. But FullSpeed overcomes this problem in two ways:

(1) It supports storing data in the Description field of sale or purchase items, and can extract it to use in calculations. For instance, users can store a per-unit shipping weight in each item’s Description, and FullSpeed can use it to calculate the total shipping weight for an invoice.

(2) FullSpeed’s Scratchpad feature allows macros to temporarily store results of intermediate calculations, so they don’t have to be written to the target application where no space may be available to hold them.

Maybe the most unique feature of FullSpeed is that it works directly on data in the target application. Users get to see the results of calculations immediately while working in an invoice, purchase order, or other form. There’s no need to export the form’s data to do calculations in Microsoft Excel or some other program, and no need to re-import or Copy and Paste results that were calculated elsewhere.

FullSpeed is priced at $119 for a single-user license, less for multi-user licensing. FullSpeed is compatible with Microsoft Windows XP (SP3) and all later versions including Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Is 2012 set to be a bumper year for outsourcing?

With the New Year upon us, many companies are now looking at their business processes in order to assess what they can change in 2012. With companies continuing to struggle amidst a challenging economic climate, many are likely to dramatically change how their company operates this year, with outsourcing likely to become the preserve of many businesses attempting to rationalise their cost base.

Last year was a record year for companies operating in the outsourcing sector, with a huge number of businesses looking into the concept in an attempt to cut fixed costs and become more flexible. In a recent survey conducted by dictate2us, a dictation and transcription service, it was found that 62% of companies plan to outsource administrative jobs this year, to cut the costs of overheads. Research carried out by the Federation of small Businesses (FSB) found that 27% of start up companies struggle to find qualified and skilled staff.

Outsourcing was also a hot topic in the news last year, and this trend appears to continuing in 2012. In one article in particular, published in the Daily Mail, John Neilson, Managing Director of NHS Shared Business Services, has urged the NHS to outsource more of its call centres to India, to further cut costs; a predicted saving of £20 billion by 2014. With articles such as these featuring in various different publications on a daily basis, it is no wonder that more companies are wanting to know what is to be gained through outsourcing, with there being more of a demand for outsourcing companies than there has ever been before.
